CHAS Kiltwalk May 2022

                                               ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ £86,634.23!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On Sunday 24th April 63 Brethren, family & friends participated in the Kiltwalk Glasgow 2022 in support of the Provincial Grand Master’s Nominated Charity for his Commission, CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland).
Over the months previous everyone came together with a massive fundraising effort which included kind sponsorship of all participants CHAS t-shirts for the day by Wonderworld Soft Play and Adventure centres.

This was bolstered by all the very generous donations from other Masonic orders, daughter Lodges, Brethren, family & friends.

All in all the cheque for CHAS was a massive £86,634.23!!!! ( including the generous uplift from the Hunter Foundation ).

Following the event Fiona Leslie, CHAS Senior Community and Challenge Events Fundraiser contacted us to inform us that
“ This is an incredible amount, certainly our biggest team ever! In total CHAS raised £181,906.85 making it our best ever Kiltwalk, which we couldn’t have achieved without the PGL team”
The day could not have gone any better with fantastic weather and ALL participants playing their part over the 3 distances. The Mighty Stride 22 miles, The Big Stroll 14 miles and the Wee Wander 4 miles.
To their eternal credit everyone made it across the finishing line at Balloch. A testament not only to their varying levels of fitness but their absolute commitment to a wonderful cause.

A formal presentation of the cheque and visit to one of CHAS Hospices will be arranged in the coming weeks.

All at Provincial Grand Lodge would like to thank everyone who made this possible and provide CHAS with ongoing funds to continue their fantastic work and support children and families through difficult times.

Watch this space for future CHAS fundraising initiatives.

Well done everyone
